title - Grants & Funding The Rice Foundation
The Theodore and Chandos Rice Foundation began funding in early 2001 for charitable programs that fit the purpose; established by Ted and Chandos Rice. Those three purposes are:
helping families
Helping families, single parents, and children become self-sufficient, contributing members of society through education and training.

assisting seniors
Assisting seniors in obtaining meaningful and dignified living opportunities.

eliminating intolerance
Eliminating intolerance, discrimination, and prejudice from our society.

CURRENT GRANTS AND FUNDING

Grants awarded by the Rice Foundation will focus on all three of the goals established by Chandos and Ted Rice. The Board of Directors will not issue RFP's at this time. Rather, it is our intention to solicit and consider projects and programs in order to grant funds to several organizations or individuals whose commitments and interests complement the purposes of the Foundation.

Funding will be based on the Board's considered review of the prospects and promise of these programs for impacting the goals. We will also consider the potential for replication of the programs by other interested organizations or persons.

Unsolicited applications are not currently being accepted.
